This copy of An Average Boy's Vacation by Mary S. Deering is a HB without a DJ. It was published by Dresser, McLellan & Co. in 1876 in Portland, Maine, and it is the Second Edition. This is the real deal. It's not one of those new reprints that came out a few years ago. This is a small book that measures roughly 7 inches X 4 1/2 inches. Condition: Good--pages show slight handling; a few pages have light soiling; there is an inscription on the 2nd blank page with a date of 1876 (the ink bled onto the back of the first blank page); the tissue paper between the frontipiece and the title page is still there; binding tight; covers have rubbing wear; there is a lean to the spine. 166 pages. Black and white illustrations throughout.
